Our Boys are Home! This was the verse God gave us at the beginning of this adoption.   He who calls you is faithful and he also will bring it to pass. (1 Thessolonians 5:24)    Click to Read our Haiti Adoption Blog
The Peterson Family During our 14 years of adoption, we have experienced the loss related to infertility, the trials and joys of adopting through the foster care system, the medical uncertainties and behavioral issues of drug and alcohol  exposed infants, the challenges of children suffering from Reactive Attachment Disorder, the unique blessing of being a multi-racial family and now, internationally, we are seeing what it looks like for children to live in orphanage environments.
The name comes from Isaiah 61. Specifically, verses one and three.  These verses are full of compassion, hope and redemption.  Adoption becomes a redemptive plan for the birthparents, the adoptive parents and the child.  What may appear to be ashes is turned to beauty through the adoption process.

Our boys are home!!

Chris and the boys arrived in Hickory at 10:30 this morning. Thanks to everyone praying for our family during this time.

Chris has the boys!

Chris has the boys in Miami. They will get some food and a little sleep only to be back at the airport at 4am to wait on the Standby list. The money supply is low and all of the flights are full. So pray that they can get food and rest and not have to wait too long for a flight home to Charlotte.

Thanks to everyone that has been fervently praying for this process. Please continue to pray for their health and safety.
